Do we really listen to children? Do we really hear their voices in real life?

November 20 is UNICEF World Children’s Day.
It's the day the UN adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.
This year, the POP-UP Festival team invites you to take a moment to hear children’s voices: their feelings, thoughts, and hopes, in their own words. Together, we’ll explore what we can really do for children to thrive in this uncertain world. This is a space to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and leave with a commitment of your own.

Key Takeaways

  • Hear children’s real voices through POP-UP Festival around the world
  • Notice what their words stir in you using the Six Seconds EQ model as a guide
  • Leave with one action plan (1.2.3. pasta!) you can take at home, at school, or at work

Why We Do This Webinar
November 20 is UNICEF World Children’s Day, the day the UN adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. Six Seconds started POP-UP Festival in 2017 to celebrate this day, with a simple belief: children thrive when they grow their emotional intelligence. Children learn through play, and emotions connect us all, across cultures, generations, and borders.

Through POP-UP Festival activities and simple dialogues, we grow our emotional intelligence, hear children’s voices.
